SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Committed to Our People and Communities

At KCU, social responsibility is about the way we work, the relationships we build and the positive contribution we make to our people, communities and the environment.

Our commitment extends beyond the workplace to the communities in which we operate, particularly across Western Australia’s Pilbara and Kimberley regions.

Guided by our RIPPA Values of Respect, Integrity, Persistence, Passion and Accountability, we aim to create safe and supportive workplaces, build genuine partnerships and contribute to meaningful, lasting outcomes.
HEALTH AND SAFETY

Working together towards Zero Harm

/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/CFC-Group-Whistleblower-Policy.pdfThe health and safety of our people, contractors, clients, visitors and surrounding communities is a fundamental priority at KCU.

We are committed to providing safe and healthy working environments, with a strong focus on preventing injuries, managing risks and protecting the environment.

Our approach is supported by a Safety Management System that guides safe work practices, promotes accountability and encourages continuous improvement.

We recognise that achieving Zero Harm is a shared responsibility. By encouraging open communication, proactive risk management and input from our employees and subcontractors, we work together to ensure everyone returns home safely.
SUPPORTING COMMUNITY WELLBEING

Making a Difference in Looma

Our commitment to wellbeing extends beyond our workforce and into the communities we work alongside.

Through our ongoing relationship with the Looma Aboriginal community in Western Australia’s Kimberley region, KCU has supported opportunities to promote mental health awareness and wellbeing among local young people.
Working with youth mental health organisation zero2hero, KCU has helped bring mental health education and workshops to the community, encouraging young people to recognise when someone may be struggling, start important conversations and understand where to seek support.

These initiatives reflect our belief in listening to communities, supporting locally identified priorities and building partnerships that create positive, lasting outcomes.
SUPPORTING OUR PEOPLE'S

Mental Health and Wellbeing

At KCU, the health and wellbeing of our people is a priority. We recognise that a safe, supportive and inclusive workplace is essential to helping our team thrive, both at work and beyond.

We are committed to fostering a culture where mental health is openly discussed, people feel comfortable seeking support and everyone is treated with care, dignity and respect.

Our Commitment to Mental Health

Mental Health First Aid Training

KCU team members have completed nationally accredited Mental Health First Aid training, gaining practical skills to recognise signs of mental health challenges, provide initial support and encourage colleagues to access professional help when needed.

By investing in awareness, education and support, we aim to create a workplace where our people feel valued, connected and supported.
